Last year's history book had a project that suggested actually mummifying a real chicken. I wasn't up for that. Today we pretended to mummify Ernie (from Sesame Street) and the boys enjoyed it and I was happy with that project. *grin*

Mummifying a banana!! How did that work? *grin* I agree - doing what works for our family is the great thing about homeschooling :-) I was amazed at how many on the SOTW message boards tackled the chicken. Brave women!

I don't think I would try a chicken unless my boys were much older. The whole project sounds cool though.
