Rory loves getting into Paxton's crib to play once he's woken up from a nap. Today all was well until Paxton bumped against the railing and cut his lip - blood everywhere! Rory felt bad and kept saying "'scuse me, Paxton". After assuring him Paxton would be fine, he went off to the shop to find Dad and Grandpa. Boys!! It's certainly not the first time nor will it be the last as long as the two of them enjoy wrestling with each other.
The sun is actually shining today - something we haven't seen for awhile. Last night was a little sleepless for Ladger (and me) as it got close to frost again. It was 0.8 degrees celsius at 5 am. I think that was the coldest it got before starting to warm up again. It's tough to see a beautiful crop out there waiting to be harvested - excellent yield and quality potential and know that any night a good frost can reduce it all to feed grade and it's value almost completely gone. We'll all feel better if we can start combining - every bit in the bin is that much less to be concerned about. The forecast was changed to sunshine for the next few days instead of showers and rain. You can pray for us that the weather will hold and that we can start bringing in the harvest soon.
